I have completely taken apart my truck and I am putting the engine back together now. Question: how does the timing chain get oiled? Does the oil galley plug have a hole? Or Does the little hole into the valve spring area not get covered with the gasket for the timing chain cover? Please help if you can.

I was just looking at the front of the block again, at the bottom of the timing chain cover area on the front plate of the block, there are a couple of gaps into the oil pan between the front crankshaft filler block and the block. Does the oil in the pan fill high enough to seep into the timing chain area and the little hole at the top of this area acts as a vent?
Thanks,
Randy

Answer: I think I found out the answer from a non- Willys source: oil squirts out from around the cam bearing. This makes since since the oil slinger is placed on the cam shaft on the outside of the cam timing gear.
Not sure I am posting correctly or if no-one that has view knew the answer, so I posted what I think is the answer myself for anyone else in need.
