Been kinda quiet on here lately so I thooght I would post up! I was driving across town Saturday morning and I passed a wagon here in Wilmington. I have seen it a couple of times before but have not had time to stop and look at it or chase him down. It was 2-tone green and looked unmodified and in good shape.

Can't wait to get mine mobile - hopefully will happen soon.

I was starting to wonder if it was something I said... :) I suppose everyone's need to be off the net converges from time to time and places like this fall silent for a while.

Cool to see another wagon running around, it rarely happens around here. There are only two that I know of where I live. One is the Wicked Willys that Stacey David built on the Truckin tv show (his dad owns it), and the other one belongs to Bobby Burns, the "godfather of freestyle" skiing. Burns uses his for a daily driver in the winter. Other than these two, I can't recall any others in the last 15 or so years.

There is a yellow truck that is within about 5 miles of me but I have not been able to find him either.

I met a guy that owns a metal shop that is into the old Willys but has no trucks or wagons. I may go see him when I get mine back from the shop. He seems very knowledgeable and may be a good resource for repairs and help with mine.

I am going to have to do some steering work. When it is closer to time I will write in about that. Maybe one day we will get busy enough on here that you will be able to break things out in categorys ( steering, brakes, etc) I'll try to title my posts accordingly in case you ever see a need for that.

I'm hoping that TECH Week will catch on, in due time. The first was a bust, but we'll do it again at the end of this month. It's a great way for everyone to learn a "how-to" without having to ask the question. It takes some effort to contribute a good write-up, but well worth it for the group.

Even in my small town, I've seen a really nice restored green wagon, a lifted white wagon and a flathbed pick up. Would be nice to see them on this site!

Pete is the Wicked Willys still roaming in your neck of the woods? Any chance you can sneak some picks? That was my first taste of Willys love! Smitten in my teens watching that build on tv in my buddies barn while we worked on his scoute.

I've only seen the Wicked Willys once, at a car show about 40 miles from here. Stacey David was one of the "celebrity guests" of the show, and his dad had the wagon there. Stacey David's dad lived about 4 miles from me. Don't know if he is still around or not. If he is, he must not drive the wagon much if he still has it. It is a small town, and I've never seen it on the road. Interesting trivia: My mom was Stacy David's kindergarten teacher...
