Seems I have an issue with the clutch or tranny all the sudden. No matter how I try either at dead stop or barely rolling I cant shift into low without grinding. Nor reverse and even 2nd and 3rd will protest at times. Once she is rolling things go OK. Im thinking maybe the fact I just put new bushings this week that the cab was raised enough that the clutch pedal isnt going down far enough now and maybe a simple clutch adjustment will fix it. Probably wishful thinking on my part. Any ideas on what would cause this :?: Thank in advance.

Right off hand I think I would adjust the clutch, that's most likely the problem. The next thing that comes to mind is that your pilot bushing is binding on the input shaft on the transmission.

Brian, If this issue wasn't present before your cab lift, chances are you are correct in your assessment. Make a small clutch adjustment and see what happens. Keep 1" to 1 1/2" of travel at the top of the pedal. Realize though, that 1st and reverse are not syncronized and sometimes grinding happens.
On mine (and it's just a habbit) I always pop it in to 2nd before going in to reverse or first. I takes out the grind factor.

Thanks. Im thinking since 2nd and 3rd or working fine when rolling its not the syncros. I realize 1st and reverse are not syncronized and since this is the issue I hope a cltuch adjustment will fix. seems like there is too much play in the pedal too. i will let you know if adjustment fixes. Thanks for the replies.
