Yes, very interesting and one of those small parts of history not really covered. Can you picture the tow truck recovery guy on Guadalcanal.

Fun fact: a good portion of the SAS and Long Range Desert Group of WW II were farmers and similar from New Zealand, Australia, South Africa, Rhodesia, etc.
That’s an amazing piece of history! It’s incredible to think that these brave men played such a crucial role in the SAS and Long Range Desert Group during WWII.
