New member- long over due update.

Hey guys.

I am mainly a full size Jeeper, but have always wanted a truck like dads old '53. With me, the sickness runs deep. Dad bought a CJ5 new in '74 and I was taught to drive it as soon as I could hold on to the steering wheel. When my wife needed reliable transportation, I built her an '88 Grand Wagoneer, with 4" lift and fuel injection for driveability. My dd was a stock '77 J-10 up untill a month ago, when I put my project on the road to work out the bugs. Its a '75 J-20 that I put a service bed onto, dropped a Caddy 425 into it and put 454 throttle body injection on it.

2 years ago I got a call from a buddy that he knows where to get a Willys wagon for $150. Well, lets go look. Turns out to be a Willys Parkway Conversion (full window with bard doors on rear). It still has the original 4 cyl and column shift T-90 in 2wd form. I plan to put the body onto an '85 GW frame and axles and put a '95 Jeep 4.0 into it.
I also have a '51 Willys P/U that is in rough shape. I think this one will get rat-rodded.... :D

Welcome. Post a few pics of your projects if you get a chance, we like pictures.

Welcome to the forum Jaber-

Welcome. Are you on the FSJ forums as well? I look through a lot of the jp forums because I like them all. There is a guy that drives one of those old fullsize pickups to the beach around here. ( I'd like to have one of those too but I think my wife would flip if I added anything else to my junk collection) :D

DITTO. I think those older FSJ pickups are some of the stoutest and coolest things out there.

I am a regular on the Full Size forum... http://www.ifsja.org/forums/vb/

Same user name. Roundss is the guy that turned me on to this forum. He was on the other one asking questions for his project.
Thanks for the warm welcomes...

Thanks for putting up the pictures. Looks like you have some good 'bones' there to work with.

Welcome to the forum, look's like you found a gold mine there...the wagon is a jewel!

Thanks for the welcomes guys.

One of my long term projects is a '75 J-20 wrecker. Do you think they will let me use it for my avatar?

Since "they" is me, I don't see why not...

I was linked over from FSJNetwork by a guy building a J4000. I then realized I have an account and had started a thread. My apologies for being an airhead...

I have done a lot to the pickup since I brought it home. I scraped the body off a '77 Jeep J-10 short box because it was all rusted out. After some quick measurements, I discovered that they were the same wheel base, so the swap was on...

Then I positioned a '94 4.0 and AOD and made mounts...

Now it just needs money thrown at it...
