Thanks Pete, very enjoyable! It seemed you didn't quite get out of 2nd gear... what about going around a bigger block? (some people are never satisfied) A little more body shaking clutch judder and the video could have been of our wagon!

Hey Pete

So thats the way they are supposed to sound huh???...Never had mine out yet...I cant wait now to get to that point...You know I think if they built all the new cars like these trucks..there would be no more cell phones and texting going on any more...I love that view you gave us all..whats the wife and kids think of it???

Fantastic spin around the block and a very enjoyable engine/gears sound...but I'm thinking thats an empty, for sale, lot next to you...perhaps a move is in-order for me???

I'm afraid to go much faster... I need to sort out the front brakes first. And maybe get a helmet

I have another clip to post that my wife took of my boys and I pulling out of the driveway. Just need to get it out of the camera...

It was a trick to hold the camera, steer, and shift... But then again, maybe not as challenging as texting, applying lipstick, and fumbling for the latte-

I had pictured you with the camera strapped to your head, till you didnt look both ways...

Thanks Pete! That was wonderful idea. I haven't been able to do anything on my wagon for such a long time. There is something so amazing and beautiful about looking out over the hood of these wonderful rigs isn't there. I miss it.

Sounds like you have one of those incessant squeaks like my old 55 I had 25 years ago. Drove me crazy, but I still miss it. And that familiar sound of the intermediate gear whining in the transfercase. Sure lifted my spirit.

Thanks again.

Happy to have you along for the ride Midnight. Hope to take you for a spin for real at some point, you are only a couple of hours away.

The squeek seems to be in the floor. The PO installed new steel over the top of the old rotten floor, and it sounds like there are rough edges rubbing, or maybe a rock or something stuck in-between the two layers. I'm going to have to get underneath and cut some of the old floor out, or maybe just cut it all out and start over...

I had a big grin on my face listening to the gear whine too... I love it when I can hear/feel how a machine really works, unlike modern rigs that have the driver completely disconnected to that is going on beyond the gas pedal.

Hope you are well,

Pete

Here's another quick clip from the same day...
