Hey everyone! Happy to be joining this forum with "Beastie" I was calling her "The Beast" but I find "Beastie" a bit more endearing.
This 1946 Willys has been modified to be an every day toy. I have a 1980's v6 Buick engine in it, turbo-hydramatic 350 transmission, a Cadillac tilt steering column/wheel, 33" tires on inverted leaf springs, diamond plating on the back, and she is painted Rhino-liner blue.
I am looking for replacement parts for some severe rust damage. She has been sitting in my buddy's rice field in Nor Cal for the last 9 years and I will be restoring her to drive-able as soon as possible!
Need asap (looked in obvious places already so open to suggestions - also want to stick with "Willys" stamped into the metal):
Fuel tank
Windshield (the whole piece not just the inserts)
Rear tailgate
I'm in Southern California if there are good suggestions for how I can support local business or trade!
Thank you all for supporting history while having fun!
