Hey everyone. Im in the process of restoring my 1953 wagon. I am having a hard time figuring out the headliner situation. Ive looked at countless pictures, but i just need to ask. Does the headliner come down around the side window pillars? From what i can see it looks as though that is correct, but i want to make sure. If it does, how does it attach around the window frames.

Also, how does the headliner get attached in the front and the rear? If anyone knows of any instructionals or knows where there is pictures that can explain this it would be very helpful.

Thanks

Rich....when I removed mine I kept the bows in thw headliner, I was told that they are all different lengths and need to be put up the same way. The headliner was tacked around the entire perimeter (drip rail area) and did not include the pillars. I started removing the head liner in the front and removed a billion tacks as I worked to the rear. The pillars where covered material over cardboard, the window frames hide some of the edge and what I believe they call window/door rope. The headliner will be my last project, somewhere down this long road of rebirthing a Wagon.....Good Luck!

I had pulled all my headliner "rope" out it was a pain in the arse to get out. Still on the fence of how I am going to do the headliner. Not sure if going back to original style or just gonna figure something else out.
