Just a few lines about my Willys background. My family bought a 1960 wagon for $100 in 1979 to use as a doodlebug on our woodlot. It's still going strong today. I had a 1962 truck which had a belt drive on the back. I still have another '62 truck which was the fire dept. brush truck. I've gotten lots of good info. from lurking around the site. Looks like I will try to become an active member.

I'm happy you have been lurking and decided to post...non of us here, have the "I know it all" additude...we just like rusty metal and pictures of Willys Wagons and Pick-ups. Sounds as if your family has had a long history of ownership of these unique vehicles.
Welcome to the Forum!

Welcome to the forum. We love to hear about more Willys out there being loved, saved and used. Got pictures? We are suckers for pictures.

Mike,

Thanks for coming outta the shadows. Hopefully you have seen that you are coming into a fun group of active members that will always be around to give you another idea of how to do something.... This place is a great example of "thinking outside the box"

Thanks for doing an intro Mike. It's great to hear the history...

Looking forward to the home-coming pic's of your wagon-

Hey Mike

Welcome from the land of rust salt and snow (the greater upstate NY area). Been to Vermont many times. Usually to Rutland to Devils Bowl Speedway or to Bennington to get away with the wife. We really like the Bennington Pottery company. I havent seen even one Willys when I have visited. So where are all the Willys hiding anyways???..Just kidding..welcome aboard...these folks really know there stuff too...Hopefully you can help us out and learn too.

Welcome from another Vermonter!!! I live in New Jersey now, but I will always be a Vermonter!!! I grew up in Milton, VT and my first vehicle was a 50 CJ-3A that my dad and I restored. The CJ is long since gone but now I have a 53 willys pickup I am starting.
