From the seat area to the back..... IT's G O N E......rotted away. Has anyone tried replacing it with a truck bed floor. My wheel wells look ok except the bottom 1/2 inch :?:

I ran into this problem during my resto. Check out my build thread "Nugilo Sedan Delivery". I originally thought of using truck bed panels. I think that would work but would require a lot of fabrication to make it look right. From what I found, there are not Willys truck bed panels available so you would have to find something else to start with. Instead, I decided to try to find a donor vehicle with a good floor and got super lucky finding one just 3 miles from me, and it was cheap and the floor was almost perfect. We transplanted that floor into my Sedan Delivery. This option resulted in a perfect, factory correct floor but required a tremendous amount if fabrication. Good luck with your project. Post some pics when you can.

Hey Gregory I have a lot of restoration and metal experience and one of the hardest things I had trouble learning is you are far better of financially and head ache wise to spend more up front on a better more complete vehicle than to pore money and time in a basket case. I read nugilo build thread and I can't speak for him but I see that he was well on his way restoring his before he got a donor for his floor, but I'm sure he realizes now that he would have had less work if he got the donor first and then put the top half of the panel on the bottom half of the donor. So my suggestion is turn your wagon into the donor and find one that isn't all rusted out. Bob

I would have to agree with jorp on the best course of action on the restoration process. It would have been much cheaper to start from a better starting point, which ironically the donor vehicle would have been a better starting point. But he was also correct that I was already deep into the resto at that point. Body work gets really costly quickly. Good luck.

Hey don't waists another wagon! The greatest thing about a build is once its over saying to people I did that, and that, and that, there was no metal here at all but look at it now!

If it is beyond repair well then turn her in to a rat rod, chop shave, section, scab on any part that will fit and don’t worry about the small stuff and have fun!

As long as it goes fast and stops quickly!
