Rebuilt Water Pump 226 engine

Has anyone had any dealings with 2ndgenautoparts on eBay? He's some rebuilt water pumps for a 226. Just checking because I've had on a Melling oil pump in a box that was defective, gear shaft was not drilled for a pin to attach the gear to the shaft. It was wholesalepartsstore on eBay. Wouldn't make it good, said it had a manufactures 1 year warranty (bologna Melling only deals with sellers).

Can’t say I’ve dealt with that seller, but it looks like a reputable operation. It has a 100% rating after 11,000 sales and has over 600 “followers,” who are likely satisfied customers expecting to use them again.

Also, for what it’s worth, the water pump is a fairly simple design, so shouldn’t be assembled wrong.

If there’s any reason to worry, it would be that the components used in the rebuild are probably Chinese reproductions of dubious quality, but I really don’t think there are any other alternatives these days.

Thanks for the info. Maybe better than the Omix which is on back order and who knows when it will arrive. Thanks again Lookout
