1947 Willys Overland Stordor delivery van

No but I’ll look for it! The 48 is completely road worth but other than some up and down the block runs I have not given it a real shake down run. Been super focused on a 39 Ford pickup that came my way. Super rust free partial mechanical restoration including an old Hot Rodders rebuilt 52 Mercury Flathead 8. Just got that running but needs brakes. Saving the best for last. the 1947 Stordor Willys Overland. I love when old vehicles TALK to you You know, when things fall together and into place. The vehicle WANTS to come back to life! The 47 is wired front to back on both sides with sockets for standard light bulbs. There is an exterior plug mounted that you cad run an extension cord to. I ran one to it installed the bulbs. Wham! The thing lights up like a Christmas tree Now to get that Jeepster engine and overdrive tranny into it

Here it is @bird

Sent him a reply. My pipe exited out the side in front of the rear drivers side. I order a full truck exhaust set up from Walck’s and it was as short as my CJ3’s pipes almost. I called him and said I was mis shipped and he say NO they are shorter because they didn’t exit out of the rear. What I assume to be the original exhaust exited out the side. I believe the 47 Stordor built on the standard truck chassis exits out that way too. I’ll explore it more on Monday when I can see it again.

One of justa few threads there:

I have a 1947 Willys Overland Stordor Van that is truly a Willys complete with the proper branding dash column shift and horn button. This one is registered as a dodge has a dodge engine is a dually floor shift with no Willys markings at all. Stordor was the company name of the body fabricator based out of San Francisco. There is a very good chance that this is in fact a dodge with a Stordor body. Either way I’ve purchased it and will keep all who are interested up to date as to what it is. Either way I don’t need two of these so there is a GOOD chance that I will be selling my Willys Stordor and all extra parts once I get my hands on to this vehicle.

Harrrr! Bird
Made ya (wanna) buy it!
(...and I truly have no connection with the seller!)

Seems like a square deal, and this one just might land you much closer to flat face motoring...
