master cylinder

I replaced the Master cylinder, the brass "Y" fitting and all the other stuff on the front of the master cylinder... my brake lines are different sizes.... is this normal? Looks like the "Y" fitting I ordered has the same size fittings... I hate to take it all apart after the install but I...
