gear shifting

Hi - looking for some advice on a vibration/rattle in the gear shift. The main gear shift has a vibration/rattle that sounds like it's trying to slip a gear, but as long as I keep my hand on it, the sound goes away. Anyone else with this problem? Transmission was a total rebuild 6 months ago.

Just bought a 47. It has a canestick gear. I noticed where 1st gear is usually at is the reverse. I never drove this old of stick without a diagram and wondered if someone could explain the order and if it's normal for willys?
