I was doing the spring greasing, and found that the "grease fitting" on the driver's side on top of the kingpin was missing. The parts manual calls it a Steering knuckle bearing. CAn I get help in finding just this part? It's in kits, but $. How does it attach? Thanks!

Of course it would be. I looked for one a couple years ago as I had one in a kit and needed another. All I could find was a bearing without the zerk. The original was mounted in the blind end of that bearing and I couldn’t figure out how it was done. A kit may be the only way to get it in this day and age.

The blind end of the bearing is not very thick, I'm guessing .065. So it really isn't your typical threaded assembly. They may have soldered the zerk onto it or had a special zerk that was pressed/peened in.

I never had 1 apart, so...
I doubt if Willys actually made that I beam axle, so maybe other similar bearings might have that part from a different axle.
