Radio back plate removal???

I have a 61 wagon and I’m trying to get the piece of the dash off that holds the AM radio in place? It seems like it just snaps in there somehow, but I don’t want to bend it getting it out. The AM radio still works too, but it needs a new speaker. I really just want to get it out to make room for rewiring under the dash. Finally got my new brakes in with new wheels and tires.

There are kind of little clamps that clamp it on from the back side.
IIRC, the nuts are 3/8 of an inch. They're also might be a bracket from the back of the radio to the dash you have to remove

Thanks RV Aych! Mine has a radio cutout and AM radio. Light comes on in the radio, but the speaker is toast.

It is. You can see that a PO has hut the plate to make it fit.

I was hoping that the radio was an original part, but seems to be a Ford part, although about as old maybe. It might have to fill the hole though

IDK, But with Willys penchant for using other manufacturers parts, I would not be surprised that that FoMoCO radio came from either the factory, or the Willys dealer.
