No such thing as too many Jeeps
There is a 1953 CJ-3B for sale near me.
http://chicago.craigslist.org/nwc/cto/4894497867.html
I've talked to the owner and will be going up to see the 3B this Saturday.
It sounds good but I CANNOT buy it. I have no money nor space for it.
Somebody should grab it - the price is right.
He says it runs great - "quiet and smooth."
Pictrures show serious rust and lots of dents and wrinkles.
Parts replaced:
driver floor pan
fuel tank
fuel pump
carb "rebuilt"
"new" radiator not yet installed
The plow is a Meyer, not a Western but is hydraulic.
No top. He has what is probably a CJ-5 fiberglass top sitting on it, but it doesn't fit as you would expect.
If any of you are interested, post here or PM me and I'll work on the deal since I'm within a few miles of it.
The big down side is lack of a title. That can be dealt with in a variety of ways.
