I thought the same thing about the price. Then I realized this could be in Canadian money. I see the dollar sign clearly but typewriters of the time may not have had a pound dollar key and they used the standard dollar key instead. The exchange rate of the day may account for the large sales figure.

Uh, yeah, it is Canadian Dollars. West Vancouver is in Canada lol
I just Googled the exchange rate of the day and it was almost exactly what it is today...1.37.

Looks like that ol wagon made great memories from the desert on up to the mountains, thank you for sharing!
We went everywhere in our wagon Seven different states that I remember. I plan on taking my kids everywhere in it too. As soon as I can fix some of the damage time and use has bestowed on it.

Here is the same Wagon when I brought it home after my dad passed. Still running and driving just with some fairly major issues. I'm in Apache Junction View attachment 78001View attachment 78002
Man, looks like you have quite the Willys Compound there, even noticed a Scout 800 peeking around the corner. I’m over in Havasu, If I get out your way, I’d dig checking out your collection!

Hey Eric......

I was gunna ask ya the same question.........i am in Central East Phoenix Valley.....32nd St and Camelback ....Biltmore area.....

That's funny as that's exactly where my 51 truck came from 6 years ago!....somewhere right around there ...guy's son was a OTR truck driver....too busy and never had no time to work on it . This is as it was...just looking it over before I opened my mouth and inserted foot...

and 6 long years later:
IMG_20190504_134123954_HDR.jpg
'been driving it last 3 years mainly to weekend local car show, a couple trips north to Flagstaff, Prescott, and even survived first major road trip, and some 1100 mile round trip to Moab UT to attend the 10th Annual Willys Rally.

'bout 3 weeks ago...said "to Hell with it. Let's get out of here for a day." Grabbed a cooler, hopped in the truck, and went driving down the road. We eventually wound up in the ghost mining town of Crown King, population of whoever happened to be there at same time.

And here's an interior pic from the CJ3B page:

The same CJ3B page has some great detail:

"To develop an ambulance with more length in the rear, a panel delivery built on a longer wheelbase was sent out to Shop of Siebert, "quality coach craftsmen since 1853." The prototype was still under Willys Engineering Project 6660 when it was photographed on 1 March 1951. See also a front view (230K JPEG).

Siebert was located at 614 Southard Avenue in Toledo, and someone was apparently a bit sloppy when they put gas in the new ambulance to drive it back to the Willys plant.

This photo reveals that the 1951 four-door prototype was capable of carrying four stretchers behind the two front seats. The second set of doors was switched between left and right, allowing them to swing to the rear."
