It’s an oval head screw, wish I could remembered the size. If I had to guess I’d say #12 x 1”.

Check the OWF library forum, there may be a list of fasteners used in the Willys.

Every nut/bolt screw size is in the factory parts manual. Hard to own one of these vehicles without that and the factory workshop manual.

Fred46 thinks it is a #10, but I kinda think it is a #8 from memory. I will check for sure when I get to my shop later.

The pictured and measured metal screw came right out of my pickup visor today so i could remove the roached headliner trim.

Ok! I just don't remember using #10 screws. I was thinking that I use #8 on the whole interior, but now I think maybe just the window frames and the interior panels were all #10.

A mind is a terrible thing to waste...

Thank s so much for the help, I was trying to put in a #10x24 threaded bolt. That would be why it did not seem to fit right, I guess I just nee a metal screw.

Gee Fred, the manual confirms what you posted alright. I pulled one of my screws and it is a #8x3/4. I have had them in for 40 years and never had a visor fall off and hit me in the head! I will try a #10 and see how easy it screws in.

Thanks!
