Hi Everyone,

Joining the forum because I am going to start working on my father-in-law’s Willys. The ‘49 tow truck i got running last year after pulling the head off and giving it a solid cleaning. That guy is drivable, but we are now having issues with some high oil pressure.

The other "3" need a lot of work. I say "3" because one of them is just a rolling frame of an unknown year (pre-1962 though just judging by suspension mounts.).

Then there is a ‘56 Willys Super Hurricane with an absolutely butchered frame and no bed, good running engine though.

Lastly is the 1962+ tornado engine willy. This was used as a plow truck for years in Massachusetts. The cab is pretty rusted and the engine, when it ran for the last time years ago smoked like a champ.

More pictures and information will come as I start to dive into projects. For now I want to get the tow truck driving good so we can cruise to shows. Any recommendations for oil type?

Welcome to the forum Brandon. I've always liked Chevron Delo 400 15w40. But you know what they say about opinions "everyone has one, and they all stink"

Rodney,
