Has anyone tried to install a lap and shoulder strap seat belt? I was wondering if there are any ideas or success stories out there. Thanks for any help.
If I get a little time tomorrow, I'll take some pictures of the anchors for the centre lap belts. The anchor points for those were already in the wagon. It's a made in '64 model - perhaps earlier versions did not have those anchors....
Darn old trucks never had them(whats up with that????)...I had a 1995 Neon 4 door sittin in my yard for my racing habit. I had stripped just about everything off of it except the seat and belts. The lap belt part is part of seat itself and the it also comes with a nice shoulder harness too. I ended up using both front seats (buckets) and the belts too... it looks kinda hokey but I have seen what happens when you wreck something without a headrest. I also found an old ammo box for my console between the bucket seats. I think the parts car was like 150.00 bucks back in 2004. I stripped everything I could off of it...So I guess the seats were next to nothing. I dont know about your area of the world but in upstate NY Dodge Neon parts are kinda cheap. Next time around tho I would try to find a 2 door Neon beacuse those seat backs fold forward (4 doors dont).
Finally had a little time to post some pictures on how the centre seat belts look and are attached to the floor. Luckily, there were factory attachments (and subfloor reinforcements) making installation simple. Hope these help.
