Any nifty tricks out there to patch a bunch (well like 4) holes in my dash where at some point somebody needed to mount a bunch of on-off switches? I'd like to weld a patch on the backside and lead fill them, or maybe get some 1/2 steel disks and braze them in....

If they are only 1/2" just clamp some copper behind them and weld them up with a mig. The copper will just drop off once you are done.

You can use plugs out of a electrical recepticle box. I like the cooper or brass behind the hole, then fill it up with a mig. Be careful not to grind too much out or get it too hot. I use a brass hammer.

To be honest, you don't even need the copper behind. I used a piece of duct tape on one side, then give the plug a quick spot weld 180° apart. Remove the tape, and weld away. Very fast and easy. Sometimes you can't get a clamp to fit where you need, so The tape works just fine.
