I just found this site. I'm new to Willy's ownership as of late 2020 .
I have 3 resto mod projects

51 Wagon 4wd - About to drop a 4.3L Vortec with t90/D18 trans transfer. 5.38 gears.
56 Pickup 4wd - hoping to salvage a 6-226
62 Pickup 4wd - hoping to salvage a 6-226 original block

So I'll be looking for lots of insight from experienced builders.

I'm looking forward to seeing all the great work.
I'll be selling left over parts wen the time is right.
 
welcome Andy. I'm new here also. Its a great forum with a plethora of information. Lots of good folks. Good luck with your projects.

Do you really what to know? Bottom Line, Social Media is a terrible influencer, LOL.

Over 2 years ago I started a 98 TJ project with my 15 year old son. A total frame off rebuild.
That's done, he is 17 knows more about cars and it's his daily driver. 98 drive train, 02 Tub, 03 Frame, 2.5" lift, 32"tires.

So here's the simple truth as I was searching Craigs list one day I found a 52 PowerWagon, but it was sold by the time I got ahold of the guy.
This and knowing that I can do sent me into a search for old 4wd trucks. I found a local guy selling the 51 Willys Wagon. He shipped it from Sacramento and it sat in a trailer for 6yrs in NJ. My pic is buying day as we loaded it onto a trailer.

So a few weeks later my buddy is visiting and I show him the wagon. About 2 days later my wife says. Did you see that facebook link that Mark sent? SO I look and it was a guy selling 2 Willy's Pick up trucks about 20 min from my house. So I had to go look, thinking maybe I need parts.

After crawling around these 2 trucks for an hour or so I decided that I had to save them or at least 1 of them.
The following Saturday I had 2 trailers loaded and was bringing them home.

So now I,m a knuckle busting Willy's guy with lots to learn.
