My 1970 J-3000 Gladiator

After years of storage in a Costco 10' x 20' Tent in my side yard, I drained the oil in my Gladiator and found lots of water mixed together in the oil pan last weekend. I'm hoping it was from condensation from the 10 years long-term storage, removed the intake, all looked good. Will do a compression check on all the cylinders to verify any loss. Also, I had external rusting of the head surfaces and exhaust manifolds. Will probably remove the heads to clean up and repaint.

Been working on the door glass installation, Windshield is installed , Back Slider window is reinstalled, Last weekend have the rear bumper mounted, but still have to add more shims, electrical is a problem, some lights work others don't. Ordered a rebuilt Motorola 50 AMP alternator from Rock Auto but it isn't clocked correctly as per my original 35 AMP alternator, so I need to disassemble it, etc. EnjoyView attachment 172507
Throw away the Motorola and install a Delco. You wont be sorry.

Adding to the operating issues, drained the oil, found copious amounts of coolant coming out of oil drain, found the #5 Cylinder head gasket blown, checked at 41 psi, Replaced the head gasket, refilled the engine oil, then it dry started the engine, no oil pressure. The water removed the adhesion of oil in the engine. Planning to replace all bearings with assembly lube this weekend and reassemble it. Hopefully after inspection, will be able to start the engine.
