My 1970 J-3000 Gladiator

Candlelight yellow? I had a Wagoneer in that color for a short while.

Curious why dad disliked the Buick 350. I liked mine and have heard nothing but good things about them.
Not sure I was 12 at the time so more interested in my mini bike then the pickup. But I do remember dad having a huge grip about the limited slip in the front axle almost killing him on a steep icy down hill into Troy Oregon on a hunting trip at couple weeks after buying the truck( he had the dealer swap it out to an open diff) and he complained about the Buick as long as he had the truck (about 10 years) mileage could have been part of it. Dad was a very cautious driver (mostly cause he drank) so the thing was loaded up a lot. On one trip on the freeway I remember him opening g it up and Black soot pouring out the tail pipe for miles lol.

@rocket _ _ that looks to be a great workhorse gladiator.

@Mark W _ _ _ my dad cussed the posi in the rear of his '67 Gladiator. While pulling out from work onto the street, if he hit a striping reflector button with the rear tire it would cause the rear to lockup and kick sideways.
Yep, it was one of his favorite complaints of the pickup. LoL _ _ think I chased a lot of rabbits in that pickup.

Been working on the door glass installation, Windshield is installed , Back Slider window is reinstalled, Last weekend have the rear bumper mounted, but still have to add more shims, electrical is a problem, some lights work others don't. Ordered a rebuilt Motorola 50 AMP alternator from Rock Auto but it isn't clocked correctly as per my original 35 AMP alternator, so I need to disassemble it, etc. Enjoy20241027_101603.jpg
