The first three pictures were in 2004 after upgrade and the last two are after 15 years on a hill country Texas ranch. We upgraded the electrical with new painless wiring harness, alternator, electronic distributor and electric wipers. Has not been maintained and most systems require TLC to get back to a working and functional truck. DCP_0702.JPG DCP_0702.JPG DCP_0703.JPG DCP_0704.JPG 20170709_112552.jpg 20170709_112558.jpg

You guys are going to force me to re-do my engine compartment!
Me too. Got started today. What I would love to see are nice examples of alternator mountings. See that bright yellow bolt sticking out of the engine mount plate? There's gotta be a better way... KIMG2055.JPG

Do you have this bracket that attaches to the block?

I do, but the arm was hacked off and rewelded in between the bolt holes in a cobby attempt to attach the alternator. That didn't happen so it's down to the lower bolt and a straight adjustment bar on the top. I need to bush out the unit to get a better, straighter fan belt line.

Here's what mine has. Came with it. I reused it, but want to make a new one also as this one is not robust enough. The alternator is slightly crocked from belt tension.
