The first three pictures were in 2004 after upgrade and the last two are after 15 years on a hill country Texas ranch. We upgraded the electrical with new painless wiring harness, alternator, electronic distributor and electric wipers. Has not been maintained and most systems require TLC to get back to a working and functional truck.
Mine doesn't look anywhere near as good as the others, but these photos show where the regulator is on my 1959 wagon. It's between the windshield wiper motor and the heater.

I'm pretty sure that's the original location, because I can't imagine my parents changing it.
I do, but the arm was hacked off and rewelded in between the bolt holes in a cobby attempt to attach the alternator. That didn't happen so it's down to the lower bolt and a straight adjustment bar on the top. I need to bush out the unit to get a better, straighter fan belt line.
