Bought my '49 Willys Overland about 5 years ago, drove it a bit then parked it until I could afford to fix a couple of problems
Seems previous owner did a wonderful job on restoring the body and interior, but totally messed up the suspension (for example he welded the front shackels to the frame so springs couldn't flex to avoid hitting oil filter on Buick V-6!)
I'd decided to sell it but I've gotten the energy (and funding) to get it going again because I bought the perfect engine for it on eBay --a GMC 401ci 60 degree V6.
Lurking here I've solved one of my big concerns -- how to get the rear tires to track with the front. Post here said the wagon rear tracks with the front, so now all I've got to find is a good wagon rear ---
I'm a retired teacher, also retired from the Army Reserve (took 30 years to get 20 good ones  ) but I'm not ready for the rocking chair. I've got a MIG and a plasma cutter so I'm ready to tackle the project.
More questions later
