I've been driving my 59 wagon for a few years and it is my daily driver, a few things have been upgraded mostly for performance but it is basically stock. I havn't gotten around to painting it yet so it looks like an old rig, doesn't matter to me, I like it and am not trying impress anyone. My wife on the other hand should have a nice and dependable rig so last fall we bought her a new 2009 Jeep Unlimited Wrangler (4 door). We were meeting for lunch at a local Arby's, we had each driven our Jeeps and parked side by side, as we were standing by the Jeeps an employee walking by politely says "nice rig" and gives me a thumbs up totally ignoring my wifes new Wrangler, I had to laugh. I get a lot of compliments about the old jeep, even though the new one is nice it seems no one notices it. I guess these older ones are a class a part. :thumbup:

My Old Man and I were working in a store front, painting the walls. I was about 18 and my Dad was 65, chubby and a real shorty at 5" 1" on his tip toes. An older lady and a very attractive young girl were waiting for the bus outside and were looking through the window at us. I instantly had high hopes for romance...

The old granny knocked on the window and beaconed me over. I opened the door and she said:

"Who is that darling little man over there, he's so cute, can I have a word with him?"

This was yet another lesson for me on the difference between fantasy and reality! You are right Brad, the 'old ones' are a class apart!

I read where a guy installed power windows because he was tired of reaching over at stop lights to answer quesions.
Definately a sexy rig.

That being said, makes me itch to get mine on the road. Just need to avoid being pulled over once a week to have the local PD and Sheriff checking it out.
