Howdy, my name is Al and I'm new to the forum.

I picked up a 1951 wagon last week, some point in its life it got a 260 v8 swapped in it. Runs and drives nice I just need to address a few things and we will be ready for the summer. Looking forward to checking out more of this forum I've already found a ton of great and fun stuff so far. Minimal rust, couple quarter size holes in driver floorboard and both rear fenders have seen better days but in all due time I'll get it patched up. Even came with a custom cattle guard which looks rad.

Power Brakes eh ?
Does it have power steering too ? _ _ the engine compartment looks to be in good order.
Then, there is that York compressor, and wondering if it is for a/c or compressed air.
I like that swing-away tire carrier.
Have fun with that wagon.

Power brakes :) No PS, that is a/c ill add a picture of the dash, also I didn't realize it till I got home (never seen one in person) but it has overdrive which was nice surprise. Ordered some brake pads and wheel cylinders for the rear they are thrashed but can't wait to mess around with the overdrive once I get the drums back on.PXL_20260430_233112629.jpg

Nice catch, it is a 1942 GPW. Got it from my uncles coworker which he drove it around for a little bit as a teenager and parked it in his pops barn for I think around 40years. Prior to that it was from a guy out of San Francisco that from what I was told was the original owner. After this wagon checklist is done I will roll it into the shop and start working on it for this summer's project, not a resto project but get it road worthy to go on some trails.

Wish I knew the back story on the clothes pin, I know right now either the light and or dimmer switch is not working right because I can't get the headlights to turn on, blinkers brakes and the single fog light works so I am assuming its one of those switches. Haven't checked the a/c yet no belt on it when I picked it up, would love to have some ac those brutal 100degree days are quickly on the way. Yeah tach is cool, blends in well with the dash, works as well.
