Willys Model
Willys Year:
My question is how do you identify what model year a Willys is? :|

Can someone point me in the direction of a Willys wagon field guide?

I know that before 1950 Willys wagons had flat grills and after that they had V-shaped grills. But how do you tell the difference between a 1950 and a 1951 or 1952 or etc...?

I own a 1950 Willys (I think!) and I am looking at buy a parts wagon. The owner swears it is a 1950's wagon, but I think it may be a later model, because it does not look like my wagon.

This is the "parts" wagon

Also is there a parts exchange guide for Willys? What year parts will fit in my 1950 model???
Boy I am confused!

Supercharged: One source for a guide to the different Willys wagon/Truck models is Willys America's catalogue. Paul Barry is the guy who runs to business. Check out the price these days. Some people at WillysTech forum think there are some mistakes in the catalogue, so once again, nothing is perfect.

Cheers

After doing some research and with help from some Willys owners it seems my 1950 Willys is actually a Heinz 57 version.
It appears I have a 1950s body but a 1954/1955 grill.

Good news is the donor car has the corect grill...so it looks I may be buying the parts car after all. ;)
