I've watched it a couple times. He says he got it from a State prison, where it was used as a prisoner transport vehicle. I'd say it was a totally stock 48 pickup, and the prison just added the top enclosure, onto a stock bed. And then took really, really good care of it for a long time. (Probably prisoners had to wash it whenever it got used or dirty.)
