Hello from NC

Hello,

My name is Tom. I live in coastal NC and we just picked up a 63 wagon a couple of months ago. I know very little about Willys so I am looking forward to meeting/learning from you, and I hope I can contribute something as well from time to time ( even if it is only how NOT to do something). I will post a pic as soon as I figure it out. I have been looking around for wagon info ever since I got mine so I am very glad that this site was started. I am sure I will have a ton of questions.

Welcome Tom- Glad you found the site. There is a thread on posting pictures in the general discussion that may help you. Let me know if you can't figure it out and I'll help out.

I put one pic in the gallery for now. I have to go through and pull some more for there for my "before" pics.

I also have to resize it for my avatar until I can take a better one. I have not been able to figure that out yet.

I'm in Wilmington. Been here since 87. I love it here. We can drive on the beach down in Carolina Beach and I like to surf so that is what I plan on useing the wagon for. I like driving something a little different, had a CJ8 Scrambler and a Jeepster Commando that I used to use down there as well. People used to ask me about them all the time. Can't wait to see the response on the wagon! I think it has the potential to be the coolest surf buggy yet.

Hi,

mapped the other day. Going to the beach sounds like a plan. Some friends and I do an outer Banks surf trip every year in the fall. Among that group is a CJ8, a wagoneer in the midst of a diesel conversion, and a old Land Rover. Our goal is to make the trip in all of these for next year. You are welcome to join in.

I have seen 2 other wagons and a truck here in town and I heard that there is 1 more wagon but have not seen it yet. That would be 4 counting mine! Hopefully I can track these guys down. If you are ever gong to be up this way let me know, we can meet for dinner or something.
