Does anyone know what heater core goes in a stock '58 pickup. Size and measurements? It would be great to have the right thing on hand before tearing the old one out. Thanks!

In case there is any more interest in heaters, I found this old West Coast Willys article interesting...unfortunately, it just didn't answer my question about heater cores!

The one the PDF shows to be in mine is in mine.

ahgeila,

If I'm understanding your question correctly. Yours should be the assembly on page 4, top left. The "heater core" is the unit in the right hand portion of the picture...the piece with the hot water valve on it. That is the unit that is in one of my donor vehicles, which is a 59 (if I am remembering correctly).

I hope that was helpful!

The "heater core" is inside the casing, but it is leaking anti-freeze. Just wondering if anyone knows of an aftermarket replacement.

Depending on how bad it is, a radiator shop can probably fix the core you have. Might be worth looking into.
