Willys Model
Willys Year:
Hi from the eastcoast of Canada, been driving by an old Willys truck for years, always thought there was something "odd" about it.I finally bought it the other day for $500.00,come to find out it was a wagon, but was cut up to make "fleet side" truck.Who ever did it left the rear quarter panels conected to the cab,cut out the back top half, moved the rear of the wagon up to make a cab. There is a truck box between the rear quaters and they are bent in and connected to the box to make the fleet side appearance. It is rather cool and allows me to do all kinds of mods(if it was original I would have done a proper resto).I'll post some pics when I figure out how, should be an interesting build and I'm always looking for ideas and advice.[attachment=0:1oln67tm]forum pic 2.jpg[/attachment:1oln67tm]

Hey Rob,
Sounds like fun. I've seen one other conversion like that. It wasn't done so well, in that the guy used plywood with a nasty foggy plexiglass window, for the back side of the cab. Anxious to see what ya got.

I'll get the pics up soon, mine is not quite this nice, whioever did mine slid a step side box between the wagon sides and then bent the sides in to connect with the box sides. Not having much luck with the file size for pics.

This is not mod or chop wagon.
It's "Compact Willys pickup" made in Israel by the Iylin-Kayzer plant.

Very cool and unique. I really like the way that back end was done on your truck...er...wagon. Can't wait to see more pics and what you have in store for it.

I was thinking about doing that if I didnt get the new body for mine. I think it is a great idea. Keep us posted
