My wife and I have been removing the old paint ,man, the paint is old and hard like cast iron.Using two DA sanders and chemical stripper when necessary.Lots of cracks in the sheetmetal needed welding. The frame is very nice with zero rust ot stress damage. No need for fancy body work ....just massage it into shape and gring down the welds neatly.A smimple paint job of gray epoxy primer should do.

Dents? Oh,there are dents, but nothing serious if a person isn't too fussy, and I'm not. Cab corners were crushed up a bit ,the porta power took care of that more or less. The roof looked like many of them do,a few "oil can" dents.Work with the shrinking disc and body hammer got the worst of it acceptable. The front fender splash shields where rolled under from off road boulders.Overall it'll look ok with the satin grey paint.
I like it to retain the look of an old truck so long as the doors, windows mechanicals etc all in good shape and operate as they should.....

Hey Tony

I love the way it looks without any paint on it at all. How about some clear coat and thats it???...I know the grey will look pretty cool too....what color for the wheels???...Are you the designated sprayer or you letting the wife do the honors???
Cant wait to see the finished product...It is gonna look awesome for sure.
