Willys Year:
Good evening. I own an 1959 Willys wagon all original, including scrappy paint...I drive it everyday. I am working on redoing the upholstery, the seats are redone but not the walls. I need some interior shots to see what I am trying to do around the doors. Also my right front turn signal light went out. Its not the bulb, but I have no real mechanical knowledge so I need advice on detecting a groudn fault or whatever it might be.

Also has anyone have any experience replacing the generator with an alternator?

I know I will have more questions.....

Welcome. Not sure about your light and mine is still at the shop so I can't even go look at one to see what it looks like. Plenty of knowledge on here and people willing to help so I am sure that someone will post up with a starting point soon. Sounds like you already swapped bulbs from left to right to make sure that wasn't the problem. Is it clean? (Contacts and ground) Do you have a meter?

Welcome to the forum. If you change to an alternator I would recommend using a single wire Delco type. Much easier install
On the light issue with the power off use a a small screwdriver and push in on the terminals. They should have some spring tension on them. You may have to carefully push in on the wires to get some tension back on the spring or the springsy be junk

Good luck
