First Post on the new forum-

I like the idea John of Pete getting the month of Sept in honor of the 10 year anniversary . But We all have seen Pete has a slew of great shots of his wagon . How about a separate thread with Pete’s favorite 10 pics and the members could vote on them ? Just an idea ...

Thanks Pete and congrats. on 10 years. I found this site in Nov. 2017 and joined immediately. Since then I have come a long way on my truck with all the great info. and help from the guys and gals willingness to share with each other. I wish I had found it 10 years ago but then I didn't have a computer anyway. LOL. For the last 4 years health problems kept me away from working on the truck or anything else. Oct. 2014 4 bypass heart surgery. 2015 getting over that. Jan. 2016 diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. Feb. 10 2016 Whipple Surgery lasted 8 hrs. been recovering from that since then. Finally got able to start piddling on stuff in Oct. 2017. Started slow and could only stay about 15 min. but I have come a long way since then. I still get tired and just sit down and rest for a while. I'm so glad I found this site. I don't usually join stuff, but this is one time i'm glad I did. Thanks to all who have helped with ideas and suggestions. My friend Bill calls the truck my Therapy Truck or TT for short. I admit it has been good therapy. I also got a good report at the Cancer Doctor yesterday.:)

Glad you're here to share this story, and congratulations on the good report. We are pulling for you.

Not to get ahead of ourselves... the official forum founding anniversary isn't until September of 1019 :).
I think Carter's point was to get a calendar submission for the month of September ready for next year's calendar, and I think that's a great idea.
I do appreciate all the comments though, thanks for the encouraging words. As I've said before, it's really the members here who make this the best place on the internet. Cheers!

We should NEVER count the chickens before..... How many times has that bitten me in the a***! I'm a Red Sox fan, I remember 1986 AAARRRRGGGGGGHHHH!!!
Congrats on 9 years Pete! That's 9, not 10, yet!

Pete, thanks for the time and effort it takes to construct a site and keep it up. When I'm done with this post, I'll throw down for an All Star account, it's the least I can do (?)
I actually had to count back girlfriends to remember my last Willys,. It was a '51 Wagon with the stock F head and an overdrive, over 21 years ago. Only resource I knew about was Morris Ratner The Jeepster Man in New Jersey (way before the internet as we know it today). Wish I still had that wagon but grateful to have the one I have now and really grateful for this site with all the helpful folks and info. Pete and all of you guys are awesome! Looking forward to some sort of 10th anniversary celebration, hopefully not too far from SoCal, I'm still rockin' stock :)

Steve-o, thanks for your story. Now that you have a computer, you can look up all the science that says having a hobby helps you get healthy and stay healthy. You buddy Bill is right, your truck is truly therapy. Keep on keepin' on!
