Do any of you folks have the stock battery hold down arrangement installed in a late production FC-170?
If so, please post a couple images for me.

The hold downs are probably the same in all of the Forward Controls.

I'll try to remember to look at mine tomorrow - it's a FC-170 1964.

Did you ever get your picture Joe? Mine is stock, so I could get you a picture if you still need one.

Thanks Joe!
No, I haven't.

Please do post an image or two when you get a chance.

I was digging through my parts boxes this past weekend, and found the long piece of L-angle that gets fastened near the catch side of the battery box.

And David, thank you for trying to assist!

Joe,

I have attached a few pictures. Not really good, as I have the truck put up for the winter. I think what you want to see is the battery hold down system?
The one picture shows (barely) a bracket/plate that screws to the engine side panel. The bracket is slotted to allow for vertical adjustment. It is kind of goose neck shaped to drop down below the top of the battery and then come back up on top. This holds the battery down and prevents shifting to the driver side.
The pre-formed battery case lip at the bottom is captured in a piece of angled plate on the outboard side of the box. I couldn't get a good shot of that. Clear as mud?
The system actually works pretty good, if it is sound and intact.
