converted Willys pickup

I have gotten truck painted and starting assembly so I have been jumping around on forum getting information on the correct assembly procedures.

Ordering parts from Walick’s. So he sent me the wrong glove box push button and it will be returned later. I started looking around on for correct replacements and that proved out to be a big gamble or I would have to buy complete glove box door. I found a 64 Mustang push button and it looked very much the same in size for outward appearance.

I purchased it and fitted it to work!

It’s been a journey for you. Good job on keeping at it. I’m coming up a year, and like some on here, my project goals seem to change. Hopefully I can drive a “rough truck” around this fall.

I went out this morning to install the weather strip ends that cover the grill strip I purchased on eBay. And again its back up—- the weather strip didn’t bond to grill, the glue bonded to the metal -/:;()$&l”.,?!’ Now I have to scrape glue off freshly painted surface. I had called Walick’s and he advised no prep on the rubber. I’m going to scrap the surface on the rubber before I attempt to glue it

I got the driver’s door window put back together! I did it wrong to start with by putting power vent in first but it wasn’t bad to correct myself . I used the original screws to re install the trim. I had to brush the heads with a. Brass brush to make them bright again. Most likely I will have to purchase screws for passenger door and windshield trim because some are bad rusty.
I also stuck some noico red inside the overhead cab to help with heat and noise. I can tell a difference already when I close the doors
I going to try to cut out a headliner ,kick panels, and trim pieces next (whenever I get time) out of 1/8 hardboard. I saw some at home depot got $8.99 for 4x8 sheet. I want to-glue on some headliner material to dress it out. I also was thinking about painting them???

I purchased some slide on clips from hardware store and bent them to fit with pliers. Hope they stay on! It is hard to see exactly how good they fit because they are on the back side of the regulator.

I was working on the under hood heater box collector. I used the bed side of my donor truck for sheet metal
