I have a 1946 Willys CJ2A with a really wobbly brake pedal when I step on it. Do you think something is broken or know of a fix for this? Anyone else experience this?

I have a 64 cj5 and mines a little wobbly side to side too. I think they are basically set up the same. Center shaft that articulates the break and clutch. Probably just a bit worn out. You could grease the zirk fitting. Make sure the cotter pin is still there holding the master cylinder plate to the shaft assembly

note the cotter pin on the left side of the pic securing the break master cylinder plate to the shaft.

It’s a very common 2A problem. The brake pedal arm wears out. There was actually a fix issued for it back in the 40s. It was a repair kit.

Nowadays you can just buy a new arm from just about any parts supplier.
