I recently got my rebuilt carb back from Kaiser -Willys, looks great and runs great. Was pricey, but I thought it was worth it to get it done right, rather than muddle through myself. Came back with a new bottom piece, whatever it's called, with the linkage much tighter than the old one and a new butterfly that was actually attached.

My biggest shock? It cost $36 to ship mine to them.
Our own @Scoutpilot /Rick is THE Carter wizard. Keep him in mind for future reference or for anyone contemplating a Carter rebuild.

After reading the previous 4 pages of this thread,I'm glad I've been able to snatch up 3 Carter 2467S carbs on ebay. I knew the tried and true carb mine was born with, would be a valuable commodity to hang on to. Funny thing is that it started with a simple, "I need a back up carb", to finding 2 more. I had to grab them while available.

Tell me more about the Weber 38? Is that for a 226? My WCD isn’t in the greatest shape anymore, I think….
it will optimize your six, more torque, you'll loose some MPG but not great to begin with anyway, but you'll notice how responsive your 226 now is. And the Weber parts are readily available and of course, new Spanish casting so you're not fighting 65+ yo worn parts.

The kit # is K380 call Carlos at BFIC 818-845-9000
