I was wondering what size battery I should be buying as a replacement. Currently, my Jeep has a 25-DLG. It is about 7 years old and the battery tester has it rated at about 50%, but still usable. The battery tray is roughly 10 x 6 3/4 and the battery is roughly 2 inches shorter than the tray length, but fills the width, so the battery was held in place by a rubber strap. I'd like to get a better proportioned battery to sit in the tray and have a proper hold down bracket. The replacement will also be an AGM type, possibly Lithium.

Old fashioned Group 24 should fit and give good service. They last 4-5 years with normal driving. Vibration is their enemy. I mark the date on a new battery and change @ 48 months. I never experience battery failure.... Newer tech batteries are too much $ for this old guy. And I have very little experience with them.
