I am frame-off restoring a 1962 Willys Wagon.
Although the car is still a few years away from being finished, the chassis is complete. The engine, transmission, transfer case, axles, steering, and brakes are all sorted and I am driving the chassis regularly. I set up the bare chassis to be drivable for two reasons:
1. So I could work out all the kinks and get it running and driving properly before the body goes back on
2. When I was a kid, I saw a Land Rover documentary called "50 Year Adventure". In that documentary, They show footage of a prototype Range Rover chassis being driven around for testing. Ever since then I have always wanted to drive a car without a body. That dream has finally come true!
