Good project.
How long have you been working on this?
Short wheelbase will make the truck do good offroad. May make the rear fender fit pretty tight to the cab. Keep us posted so we can see how it all comes together.

yea a 1995 Discovery. He bought a '55 truck , that' all original. It has a flat head 6. He wants it back like new.

My wife has a '96 Disco 5spd that she loves and I confess I did mentally put our Willys wagon body on its excellent chassis. My only complaint with the Disco is its Buick sourced V8. Wanted a diesel.
It will be very interesting to see how your build progresses. Please take lots of pictures (body mounts/transmission hump) for everyone to see!

Cheers

Pavel

The body mounts. I made from 2x4 1/4 tube. Welded to line up with the trucks , origanl mounts. The trans tunnel, I cut out of the Discovery, as I had to replace the floor pans any way. So why build 1 when I had that one. I love the plasma cutter, the boss bought.:) <3

Keep at it girl!!!! It look's RAT-ticcall...I look forward to new pic's of your progress.

Got alot done, yesterday. The interior is primed, doors are primed, wipers are done,(used the rear motor off the rover.) even replaced the the cables:). Some of the body filler is on. I removed about 4 gallons of bondo, about a quart going back. The stud gun dent puller rocks. :D
No picts, I let the camera battery die.

Curious how the Rover motor worked out in terms of wiper speed on the truck...

You are to fast for me...when you have a break in your action....come on over, I could use a good helper! I can't wait for pic's....of course we have to work at it when our weather is this nice.

I think they are going to be OK. It looked like they are going to be kind of med. fast.

Didn't get to work on it, yesterday or today. Had to do appartment maintance. I'd much rather work on the truck. What part of Ga are you located?

My fenders, hood, doors and grill are in Rabun County....where I do some body work on them when I'm not chasing chickens or clearing some land....the home is in Lawrenceville where a friend has a Hot Rod Shop. I'm trying to finish mine for a trip to Moab, Utah in April/May 2011.

Update, pictures, and a present from my boss, and from the powers that be......100_3728.JPG[/attachment:cjpp392z]100_3727.JPG[/attachment:cjpp392z]100_3716_3.jpg[/attachment:cjpp392z]100_3717.JPG[/attachment:cjpp392z]100_3723.JPG[/attachment:cjpp392z]100_3726.JPG[/attachment:cjpp392z]
