As of today, the forum has hit 200 members!

Thanks to everyone for helping make Old Willys Forum happen. The forum is becoming everything I had hoped it would be.

I just looked at the member's map, and there are 46 pins on the map... where are the rest of you?

I've been getting a few suggestions for new stuff on the forum, photo contests, even better smilies, forum stickers, hats, etc. Keep the suggestions coming... I'm hoping to get some of this stuff together after the first of the year.

Thanks again for your input and participation-

Pete

...no attitude here...

Hopefully we can keep it that way... :thumbupleft:

I think it will help that every single one of us is working on basically the same vehicle, a Willys. Shouldn't have somebody saying things like " well thats not how we/I/my neighbor/ did it on my 81 chevy pickup, or I get 26 mpg on my blown 502 by changing the headlight bearings". People like that can stay on Pirate.

Wait...changing my headlight bearings won't increase my mileage? I've been lied to again...

Only if you get the bearings from your bro in law who is also your cousin/uncle who lives two trailers down, he makes em up special from scratch.

For me it's interesting to be new to the Willy owner world and this growing forum.... Give a peace of mind that I am not the only crazy one out there........ More or less proof to my wife that I am not the only one..

Eric

Sorry my set is standard. On the muffler bearings.... They are "previously enjoyed" but still work fine....when grease is added in excess...

A small milestone...of great things to come in 2010! Remember guys and gals...this is a hobby, we, I and those don't know everything and there is "no" dumb question. I rely on my friends and experience when it comes to fixing something...we all give it our best for what out talents and dollar can give us...just remember to do it safely...and over the years I find it cheaper to talk about the solution before starting the project, keep an open mind and try to do it right the first time...I strive for perfection but only come "good enough".
And for you Willys Owners east of the Mississippi, please flag yourself on the members map....I have a rather large "bet" with Pete that there are more of us east of the Big River than west....we haven't divided Canada up yet!
