frame rot

Hi, I have a 49 truck that has some frame rot along with a cross member that is rotten out at the same place the frame is. How hard is it to find or make a new cross member? And how hard is it going to be to fix the frame rot through?

This took some horse trading with my wife, (for one, I have to sell my motorcycle project) but finally she agreed to let me buy my new toy. Not sure what the long term plan is, for now it is a yard truck. Needed a plow vehicle! But, this thing is just too cool to let it go to pot. I may...
