No answers to this one? Dang that's a shame b/c I wanna know the answer to that one too. Anyone know a source for two barrel intakes?

upgrading my '54 utility to two barrel

I found a stock two barrel intake on ebay to match my carter WDG carb my dad had sitting around for decades; they're an oem on some 226 in the trucks. I'll need to find or fabricate the throttle linkage as it is on the engine side rather than the firewall side. I've seen some of the carter two barrels on ebay also, I was tracking one for a while that is still avail: http://www.ebay.com/itm/120320145465?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649

I also have seen them come up on craig's list or on local Willys that were being sold / parted out. I still need to source the larger air cleaner for the two barrel.

It would be a fantastic improvement.
Open options
improved fuel consumption
If someone here ....was able to cast ,finish and distribute
a quality intake at a fair price . for the 6-226
If the Forum did it and say we had a U.S. intake company make a run for us ,with our Logo
AR forums have receivers for AR15's with their LOGO
If you build it ....they will buy it.
Just Saying ....
I would !!!!

Crazy thing I was just thinking the same thing yesterday!! As much interest as there exists in old Willys vehicles, it seems like something that could happen. Think I've read somewhere on the net a while back where an individual had one made, but a project like that is not available to 'everyman' due to expense. A group effort could spread the cost out. Definitely think there would be a demand for it. I would be IN :)

Who here is capable of making this happen ?
Would the Administrators or the owner of this site like to chime in .
It would defiantly be easy for a Company like Edelbrock
Or some local mom and pop casting and machine co.
