It was really tuff not to be able to participate in the festivities in Moab this Year. And I will probably be on a mission for my church next spring so am counting on 2018. Today My son who lives in Moab sent these two pictures to me.

If you have not ever gone to our Moab Gathering and have thought about it, you would never be dissipointed for a minute if you go next year. It is very well organized and is really a hoot.

Hadn't seen the bronze wagon before, looks good. Nice touch to have the timber molding instead of the chrome on the outside too.

Moab 2016 Pictures

Well, I don't see any place to officially post some Moab trip pictures so I'll start a thread here.

This was not my 1st trip to Moab, but it was my 1st trip with the Willys Forum Family and it was a great trip. We got to meet a lot of terrific folks and see some fantastic vehicles.

The Trail ride on Saturday was to Gemini Bridges and although there were a few issues along the way, it was an awesome day in the desert.

Noticed this rig has 3 windshield wipers...Does anyone know anything about this? Did these come out of an MG or Triumph?

The bronze wagon belongs to Gary Rein. He restored the wagon in the 80's, it's held up well, looks brand new. Powered by a Jeep 258 six.
Not sure what the mechanism is for the three wipers.

The 2016 Gallery slide show is now up and running on the Willys Rally site: www.willysrally.com

Click on the Gallery tab, and then on the 2016 link.

If you have photos of the event that you would like to include in the slide show, upload them here: http://www.willysrally.com/photoupload/upload.php

I am in the process of uploading more pictures as they come in, so check back periodically for updates to the slide show. Enjoy!

I will also be posting pictures here too.

Here's my contribution to the photos from Moab this last weekend. The '51 Willys Truck was my favorite.

Well just had a look at pictures on the Willys Rally site. Firstly thanks to those who took the trouble to share these with us. It's pretty emotional in a way seeing all those restored Wagons, trucks and CJ's and thinking about the huge amount of hours, effort and dollars that go into these builds by the current, previous and original owners. It's pretty special and unique for a brand and model of that period. Ah the stories those Willys could tell.

What a fabulous bunch of pics.
Thanks to all who took and shared them.
As a semi-pro photographer of some decades I'm really impressed with the quality of them.

Of course looking at them makes me sad - I couldn't go this year. Sigh. :(
Maybe next year. Maybe.

finally got to look through them. looks fun. one of these days i will make it. maybe next year?
