overdrive stops working after 45 min need help

1948 jeepster

fresh 80w90 fluid in the tranny and o/d

fresh wiring running a new relay to the o/d with the governor as a trigger

a true 6v is run through the solenoid

o/d works great

but stops working after 45 minutes of driving.

do the "points" in the solenoid need to be cleaned?

does the o/d have an issue?

do I have a 12v solenoid and trying to run 6v?

any input is greatly appreciated

I totally forgot to post the fix.

Somebody put in a 12v overdrive and I was trying to run 6V.

I feel like an idiot......bought the 6v conversion and I should have tested the solenoid first.

But you know what they say about assume.

All is good I have a 12v solenoid put in by one of the previous owners and it works now so I couldn't be happier.
