How far does the horn wire tube protrude from the bottom of the steering box? Looks like mine is flush---no wire coming out of the bottom, but have wire & all of the "guts" on the top side.

It comes out at least a few inches, it needs to connect to the harness. yours probably got cut off or wore through.

My tube is flush like yours. I believe when I rewired I fed the new wire up from the bottom, but that was in 2001.
